180 Turning Lives Around sponsors Kites for Kids

HAZLET — 180 Turning Lives Around and Jenkinson’s, of Point Pleasant Beach, are teaming up once again to present a day filled with kite-flying, prizes, rides, food, games and beach activities.

Kites for Kids will be held Saturday, May 21, beginning at 11 a.m.; it is open to children ages 4 to 15, who must be accompanied by a supervising adult. All proceeds will benefit the programs at 180 Turning Lives Around that support Monmouth County children and their families who have been affected by domestic or sexual violence.

The fun-filled activities will be held on the beach at Jenkinson’s North Pavilion, 3 Broadway, Point Pleasant Beach. Tickets for children, which must be purchased in advance, are $35 if one of the first 100 tickets purchased before May 16 or $40 per child thereafter. Included in the price of a ticket are a kite and entry into the kiteflying contest (three age groups, with prizes); wristband for unlimited rides at Jenkinson’s South Amusement Park; free beach access; free admission to Jenkinson’s Funhouse; and more.
