For more than 50 years, area residents have come to know H&H as a brand that stands for integrity, caring and value. They also were not easy to find. However on May 11th, 2011 they opened the doors on their brand new appliance showroom at 909 Route 130 North in East Windsor, New Jersey in the former Modern Rental facility.
According to Managing Partner Vince Henninger, “Our new store gives us visibility on a major highway which is easily accessible to residents of surrounding towns such as Princeton, Lawrenceville, West Windsor, Hamilton, Robbinsville as well as the shore area and points north.”
H&H Appliance Center has long been a pillar of the community. The Horowitz family, led by patriarch Harry Horowitz has always been a significant contributor to charitable causes and local interests. Son Kenny Horowitz continued this practice while building a thriving appliance business despite stiff competition from “big box” stores and national chains.
According to Kenny Horowitz, “We treat customers as our friends. We welcome them into our home and they welcome us into theirs. It’s all about personal attention and caring. Sure we carry all the top brands, but it’s our commitment to service and value that has made us successful.”
The “New” H&H Appliance Center carries an impressive list of brands including Sub Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Dacor, Prestige, Alfresco and Capital. They have both basic and high end products, which range from refrigerators and dishwashers to washers, dryers, stovetops and even outdoor grills.
Following a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring East Windsor mayor Janice Mironov, Kenny commented, “I’m so happy that my father could be here today. He started as a potato and chicken farmer. He then built H&H Gas into a tremendous propane gas business. Harry taught us that there was more to life than just making money. It’s about giving back and maintaining relationships. That’s what the H&H brand stands for and will continue to stand for as we launch our new and improved store.”
As H&H enters this new phase in their history, they are inviting friends to like them on facebook. Each like is rewarded with a special gift and a thank you on the radio. They also plan to launch their new website this month at www.HandHappliances.com.
