ROBBINSVILLE — Officials are investigating the cause of an early morning fire Wednesday that destroyed a warehouse on West Manor Way.
Township police responded at 5:43 a.m. to a 911 call reporting that a warehouse at 8 Manor Way was ablaze, Lt. Michael Polaski said in a press release. The warehouse tenant was LSC Mechanical and Landscape Systems, he said.
When police arrived they found the building to be “fully involved in fire,” Lt. Polaski said. The Robbinsville Division of Fire responded, along with the Groveville, Mercerville, Nottingham, White Horse, Hightstown, Millstone, East Windsor No. 1 and Hope fire companies.
The fire was declared under control at 7:04 a.m., Lt. Polaski said.
West Manor Way and Gordon Road were closed during the fire and subsequent investigation. The building and its contents were destroyed, including four vehicles and various pieces of machinery, Lt. Polaski said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Sgt. Christopher Nitti and Detective Bryan Boccanfuso of the Robbinsville Police Department in cooperation with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the Mercer County Fire Marshal’s Office.
