Ed Trzaska, Montgomery
On Wednesday, May 18, I had the pleasure of doing a “ride along” with Montgomery EMS.
I knew for a long time that the EMS crew was an outstanding resource for our community, but after spending an afternoon with them, I am even more impressed. Their professionalism and attention to detail is remarkable.
I rode along on a call to a local residence where an elderly gentleman was having difficulty breathing. The EMS crew, along with our police department and Somerset Medical Center paramedics, handled this difficult situation with urgency and precision. As a resident of Montgomery, I am reassured that my family can rely on these dedicated volunteers, if needed.
The crew’s motto is “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” and they truly live this every day. Please remember, Montgomery EMS relies on our donations and support. They recently sent out their annual fund-raising letter and donations can be made through their website.
As mentioned during a recent EMS presentation to the Township Committee, if each household in Montgomery gave $20, they would be fully funded. As such, your donation, whether big or small, can truly make a difference.
I would also like to personally thank Montgomery EMS President John Connacher for setting up this opportunity and spending the time to answer all of my questions and I had a lot.
