The owners of Batteries Plus of Manalapan, 100 Route 9 north, Manalapan, have joined the “Time to Care” campaign. The battery retailer has teamed up with USA Cares, a nonprofit organization that helps post-9/11 military service members, veterans and their families with basic financial needs.

The “Time to Care” campaign’s goal is to raise awareness about all USA Cares efforts, and the Jobs for Vets program in particular, by helping to raise funds to help veterans get placed back into the work force after serving the nation.

FromMay 24-30, Batteries Plus of Manalapan will be donating $5 of each regular and lifetime watch battery replacement to USA Cares, and accepting “in-kind” donations from customers which will benefit USA Cares.

MOCEANS Center for Independent Living Inc. is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs and services to people with all types of disabilities in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Investors Savings Bank has announced the addition of retail banking veteran Shari Scaramuzzo of Freehold as assistant vice president and branch manager of the bank’s new Freehold location at 21 W.
