HILLSBOROUGH: Library hosts program on DNA

   Walter Choroszewski shares his personal experience using DNA testing for genetic genealogy and anthropology in a program, “Back to Adam: An Introduction to Genetic Genealogy,” on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. at the public library on South Branch Road.
   As a former science educator he will help unravel the acronyms, terminology and data associated with DNA. He will review companies offering DNA testing and teach attendees how they can use this tool as a complement to traditional genealogical research.
   At 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, local beekeeper Pier Guidi brings his experience and know-how to an informal talk on what it takes to produce your own honey and enhance the environment in your garden and back yard. Afterwards, there will be drawings of jars of honey for lucky attendees.
   Also on the schedule:
   • Ladies ESL — Meets Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m. Must know minimal English. Ladies age 18 and older only.
• Friday Night Movie — ‘Unstoppable’ on June 3 at 7 p.m.
   • Afternoon movie — ‘The King’s Speech’ on Wednesday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m.
   • Instrumental guitar music — Musician Peter Biedermann plays at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the West Wing. Explore various guitars and the variety of their musical sounds.that will engage you during this performance.
   • Friday Night Movie —’The King’s Speech’ at 7 p.m. on June 10.

   • Singing Babies (newborn to 2) — Start your little one on the road to a lifetime love of music making. Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m.
   • First Look Books (grades 6-12) — Want a free book? Get a sneak peek at new teen titles before they hit the shelves! Tell us what you think, and take one home. Monday, June 6, at 5 p.m.
   • Anime Club (grades 8-12) — Hang out with your friends as we watch anime, make candy sushi and discuss the latest manga. Thursday, May 26, at 5 p.m.
