Candidates will be interviewed June 13
People interested in being considered for a vacant position on the township Board of Education are asked to submit a letter and resumes to the board office by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
The school board will interview candidates at a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, in the cafeteria of the Auten Road Intermediate School, 281 Auten Road.
The spot comes open with the resignation of Barbara Sargent, who will leave the board next month to concentrate on her new job as superintendent of the Readington Township School District.
Whoever is selected will serve through April 2012. The person could file and run in April election for a full three-year term.
To qualify, a person must be a citizen, lived in Hillsborough at least one year, be able to read and write, be registered to vote in Hillsborough and not hold another elected office in the township.
