Princeton voters may have a chance to vote on consolidation this fall after a recommendation to merge the borough and township was reached by the Joint Shared Services Consolidation Commission Wednesday night.
A motion to consolidate the Princetons under the borough form of government with partisan elections and staggered terms was approved by all commission members except Borough Councilman David Goldfarb.
The recommendation will now move to the two governing bodies for their consideration over the summer to be placed on the ballot in November.
