Moving Your Employee Volunteer Program from Good to Great: Half-Day Seminar for New Jersey Businesses

Trenton, NJ – The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers and the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce have announced a special joint seminar for businesses and corporations in the state who have or are considering starting employee volunteer programs. 
 
Sponsored exclusively by Bank of America, Moving Your Employee Volunteer Program from Good to Great will discuss the nuts and bolts of crafting a great program for your business. The half-day seminar will take place June 21 at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
According to Nina Stack, president of CNJG, “More and more businesses recognize the importance of having a robust volunteer program for their employees.  It can be one of the key drivers for attracting and retaining great staff.  It also is a central philanthropic activity for many companies, contributing to a business’ successful triple bottom line.” 
Bea Boccalandro, author of Mapping Success in Employee Volunteering: The Drivers of Effectiveness for Employee Volunteering and Giving Programs and Fortune 500 Performance, will lead the seminar. Formerly of the Boston Center for Corporate Citizenship, Boccalandro is one of the country’s leading experts and researchers on the topic of employee volunteerism.
