EAST WINDSOR — Police arrested brothers Jason Boehm, 30, and Ryan Boehm, 28, both of Bennington Drive, after detectives apprehended the men fleeing from a residential area around noon Tuesday.
”Yes, they are brothers,” said Lt. Richard Bernstein of the East Windsor Police Department. “Detectives apprehended them as they were leaving the area of the Edison Drive residence during the course of investigating their involvement in the burglaries.”
An unnamed Edison Drive resident told police that the burglars had stolen assorted jewelry and around $325. Of that cash, the suspects took a box containing about $300 in change, an East Windsor police release said.
According to the release, when detectives apprehended the Boehms, the men were still in possession of the stolen items from the Edison Drive residence. Additionally, the men carried with them burglary tools.
Aside from burglary, the Boehms were charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools, according to the release.
As a result of the investigation, police said the Boehms were also charged with burglaries on Bennington and Beechcroft drives.
After the Boehms failed to each post a $30,000 cash bail, both men were taken to the Mercer County Detention Center where they were still being detained as of press time.
   The investigation is ongoing.
Separately, a string of burglaries occurred on May 19 in East Windsor. Those burglaries took place at residences on Abbington, Bennington and Dennison drives and Braxton Court, according to a recent police report.
