Andrew Monge, 21, of Hamilton, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was additionally charged with improper turning, failing to maintain a lane and driving with a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was arrested and held at Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $2,500 bail, pending court.
A resident of Aspen Drive reported being the victim of identity theft. At 6:44 p.m. on Wednesday, police took a report from the resident who said she was contacted by her bank’s fraud department regarding recent attempts to make $720 worth of purchases using her debit card information at a Target Department Store in Maryland. The purchases were made at an unknown time on May 16.
West Windsor
Howard E. Panensky, 29, of Lawrenceville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 2:08 a.m. on May 24, police stopped Mr. Panensky in the area of Nassau Park Boulevard and determined he was intoxicated. Breath tests were given at headquarters. He was additionally charged with failing to maintain a lane and reckless driving. He was released on his own recognizance, pending court.
Mohsen M. Bidgoli, 53, of West Windsor, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Mr. Bidgoli on Clarksville Road and determined he was intoxicated after administering field sobriety tests at the scene. Breath tests were given at headquarters. He was additionally charged with failure to maintain a lane and reckless driving.
Police are investigating a report of theft at the Princeton Terrace apartment complex on Clarksville Road. The property manager of the apartments reported that between April 3 and April 8, someone broke into unoccupied apartments under construction on Blue Jay Way and stole three refrigerators and a microwave. The appliances were worth nearly $2,000 and would have required more than one person to remove.
A resident of Yardley, Pa., reported being the victim of theft and fraudulent use of credit cards while at Panera Bread in the Nassau Park Shopping Center. At noon on Wednesday, the resident reported while eating lunch, someone stole her credit cards from her purse. She had used the card to pay for lunch and did not know any were missing until her credit card company notified her about an hour later. The company told her the card had been used at a nearby Target, Macy’s, Toys R Us and Luk-Oil gas station, totaling charges of about $2,000.
An employee of Walmart in the Nassau Park Shopping Center reported being the victim of theft while at work. She said while she was on a break, she inadvertently left her wristlet type wallet near her work station. She said she quickly returned to the area but it had already been taken. Several charge cards and her personal ID were reported stolen.
Princeton
Township
A two-month, $120,000 theft investigation was concluded in Princeton Township with two arrests last week.
In March, police responded to a report from the owner of Spray Foam Insulation of Ocean, stating that about $120,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a work site on Shady Brook Lane. During the course of the investigation, Princeton Township Detective Ben Gering identified two Spray Foam employees as suspects who were also using company equipment for their own personal gain.
Froylen Perez, 33, of Perth Amboy, and Jose Carrasco, 24, of Woodbridge, were charged with second degree theft.
The two individuals were identified and arrested by the Woodbridge Police Department on a charge of operating a company vehicle that had been reported stolen by the owner of the company. Further police investigation determined the men were also the individuals who had allegedly stolen the equipment from Princeton in March.
A majority of the equipment was recovered and returned to the owner.
Mr. Perez was held in Middlesex County Jail on $75,000 with 10 percent option. Mr. Carrasco was released on his own recognizance after appearing in court.
