Police are unsure why a car went off Route 206, injuring the 72-year-old driver, on Thursday afternoon, May 26.
The driver, Ronald Pock, 72, was airlifted by the Northstar medical evacuation helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.
The 2002 Mitsubishi ran off Route 206 between Hamilton and Old Somerville roads, and struck trees and a small road sign. No other vehicles were involved.
In addition to township police, fire and rescue squads responded, as well as the Somerset Medical Center Mobile Intensive Care Unit.
