Voters face few enticements to get them to the polls for the primary election on Tuesday.
People in both the Democratic and Republican parties have few contests. The highest offices on the ballot are state Senate and Assembly.
Locally, Aldo Martinez and John Reddan seek the nomination of Democrats for Township Committee. Republicans are asked to nominate Mayor Gloria McCauley and Douglas Tomson.
Republicans have one major chore: To fill one 16th District Assembly nomination by write-in vote. Assemblywoman Denise Coyle, whose home was drawn into another district this year, isn’t seeking re-election. Instead, Somerset Freeholder Jack Cittarelli of Hillsborough is seeking enough write-ins to qualify for the fall ballot on the GOP side.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
