CentraState Healthcare System will host its fourth annual Cancer Survivors Day event on June 5 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. featuring special guest speaker Marcia Strassman. Strassman is an actress best known for her roles on the 1970s TV series “Welcome Back Kotter” and in the film “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.” She is a survivor of metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her bones in 2007. The free event is open to anyone who has been touched by cancer and will be held at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St., Freehold Township. In addition to Strassman’s presentation, the event will include a luncheon, mini health fair, sharing of survivor stories, and other activities.
