Old Bridge open space should be left untouched

I n response toAmy Delmanto’s letter to the editor titled “Convenience and Location Trump the Need for Open Space” (Suburban, Dec. 9, 2010), I would like to say that when I chose to live in Old Bridge more than 20 years ago, I did base my decision on open space. My family and I thoroughly enjoy the trees, open space and lack of development in our area, and we are very sad every time they tear down some of it to put up another building or business we don’t need or we already have.

If you enjoy the convenience of stores close to your home with no natural woodlands or wildlife getting in your way, please move to a city and don’t try and change what people already have and enjoy here.

Leave it alone.
