JACKSON — The Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue, Jackson, will host a June Jamboree and Garage Sale, June 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Brian Lippai, manager of the Ocean County animal facilities, said, “The Northern Ocean County Animal Facility and the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters invite you and your family to come visit and you may find your new best friend. Adoption fees will be waived on selected pets during this event; plus, receive a free gift with every adoption.”
Leslie Terjesen, the Ocean County Health Department public information officer, said the jamboree will offer a variety of activities, including games, contests, food, music, and fun.
“You can take a walk through the mobile adoption unit and meet some of our great volunteers who work with our animals and you can also have a summer-themed photo taken of your dog or cat for a fee of $10,” Terjesen said. “The proceeds from the photos and the garage sale will benefit the VolunteerAuxiliary forAnimal Shelters Inc. In addition, there will be contests for the pets, including the most talented or lookalike pets and pets with the longest tail and shiniest coat.”
Freeholder Deputy Director Gerry P. Little, liaison to the health department, said this is a wonderful opportunity to bring a new, loving pet into your family.
