Matthew Gomez of Hillsborough received his doctorate in nuclear engineering from the University of Michigan in May 2011. His thesis, entitled “Experimental Examination of Plasma Formation and Current Loss in Post-Hole Convolutes,” was defended in November 2010.
Mr. Gomez also holds bachelor’s and master’s degree in nuclear engineering and radiological sciences as well a masters in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Gomez just recently moved to Albuquerque, N.M.
Cadet Jeffrey Alan Pagano of Hillsborough graduated May 7 from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
George Will, a news columnist and commentator, delivered the commencement address.
Mr. Pagano earned a bachelor of science in business administration. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Pagano.
Two township residents were among more than 1,200 students who graduated May 22 from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
They are Nicole Imbriani, who will receive a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design, and Robert Webb, who will receive a bachelor of science in marketing.
Two area residents received degrees during Quinnipiac University’s 80th undergraduate commencement exercises on May 22 in Hamden, Conn.
They are Devan C. Berlin, with a bachelor of science in marketing, and Brianna K. Patane, with a bachelor of science in health and science studies.
Timothy J. Armstrong of Hillsborough graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Md., on May 22 at its 228th commencement ceremonies.
Mr. Armstrong, son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Armstrong, earned a bachelor of arts degree in history, cum laude. He was the recipient of the Arthur A. Knapp ‘39 Memorial Prize in history.
