HILLSBOROUGH: Maureen Vella given award by Democratic women

from Democratic women
   Maureen Vella of Montgomery Road, Hillsborough, has received the Eleanor Roosevelt Award for distinguished community service from the Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women.
   Ms. Vella, a family law attorney with her own practice, provides free legal services for Women Helping Women and has served on the Board of Directors of Women Aware and Women Helping Women. She is vice chair of the Hillsborough Democratic Party and is the Democratic candidate for State Senate for the 16th Legislative District.
   ”It is part of my philosophy of life, both personally and professionally, to try and give back to the community and help those facing difficult challenges to achieve viable solutions to their problems,” said Ms. Vella.
