The Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury is hosting concurrent exhibits: “Recent Thoughts,” paintings by Lucy Kalian, and “Beach Generations,” photography by Trudy Maran and Jill Saari.
The exhibits will run through June 24 in the Main Gallery.
Kalian’s paintings reflect her contemplation of the pervasive role of food in our lives.
“Fast food, slow food, it’s all about food. We are consumers consumed by thoughts of food,” she explains in an artist statement. The Shore-inspired images of mother/daughter photographers Maran and Saari are also on display in the main gallery.
The Guild of Creative Art is at 620 Broad St., Shrewsbury. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 732-741- 1441 or visit www.guildofcreativeart.org.
