Mrs. Osmundsen, 63, of Howell, died June 7, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a graduate of Wagner College, Staten Island, where she earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. Mrs. Osmundsen worked as a permanent substitute for special needs children for the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools and as a secretary at World CupAll-Star Cheerleading, Freehold. Prior to that, she worked at Freehold High School and was the junior varsity cheerleading coach. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur. Surviving are a son, Brian Kuhrt of Howell; a daughter, Rita Rose Osmundsen, and her husband, Albert Cruz, of Howell; and a granddaughter. A funeral Mass was held at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church, Howell, followed by private interment. Arrangements were by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
