— New Hope Borough police reported June 6 that a 41-year-old woman, who was walking southon South Main Street at approximately 11 p.m., was grabbed from behind bya man in the area of the Bucks County Playhouse. Police said the man grabbed the woman around the throat, as she was texting on her cell phone, and attempted to pull her intothe shadows.
The victim was able to scream and escape the unknown assailant by fallingto the ground to break the hold. He was last seen running east through the parking lot toward the river. The victim suffered only minor abrasions to her arm.
Police are looking for a man described as having a short stocky build and a medium complexion. Police said he was wearing a red bandana and may have had facial hair.

West Amwell police reported:
— On May 31 at 8:31 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle accident on Route 179 just north of Kari Drive. Nina Cally, 47, of West Amwell, was stopped in traffic waiting to turn left into the West Amwell School when she was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Janet Miernicki, 50, of Newtown, Pa. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were drivable. Ms. Miernicki was issued a summons for careless driving by Patrolman Michael Decandia, who investigated.
— On May 31 at 1:30 p.m., a resident of Alexauken Creek Road, John McAdam, reported a stolen license plate to police. He said the plates, issued by the State of Pennsylvania, were on a vehicle that was involved in a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was in a tow service lot between November 2010 and the date of the report. The vehicle was turned over to his insurance company during that period of time due to the damage and the plates were taken. He said he was unaware of the theft until he began receiving notices from the Philadelphia Parking Authority that he had accumulated $445 in parking violation fees. Patrolman Edward Skillman is investigating.
— On June 1 at 1 p.m., police began an investigation into a stolen stone tamper, taken from an unlocked outbuilding at Munds Landscaping, 1500 Route 179. The tamper machine was stolen between May 18 and 19. After attempts to locate during this period of time, it was determined the items had been stolen, police said. The tamper is valued at approximately $4,000. Patrolman Skillman is investigating.
On June 4 at 6 p.m., police were called to the Quik Check store on Route 31 about a reported theft of gasoline. Anthony Smedira, the store manager, said that a full-sized black Cadillac Escalade sport utility vehicle left prior to making payment for $63 in fuel. No license plate was available. Patrolman Skillman is conducting an investigation.
— On June 3 at 8:47 p.m., police investigated a car/deer accident on Route 179 at Cedar Crest Drive. Sandra Saxton, 59, of Levittown, Pa., was driving south when her vehicle struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken by Patrolman Todd Pantuso.
— On June 3 at 3:20 p.m., police went to a four-vehicle accident on Route 31 approximately ½-mile south of Ringoes. Mark Gardner, 24 of Flemington,. was traveling north when for still undetermined reasons, he crossed into the southbound lanes of travel, colliding with a southbound vehicle driven by Ralph Casciano, 72 of Manchester, who was positioned in the left lane, which then collided with a southbound vehicle operated by Renata Mystkowska, 28, of Ewing, who was positioned in the right lane. Michael Strauss, 29, of Somerset, was behind the Myskowska vehicle. He swerved to the right over a curb to avoid impact. However, his vehicle subsequently was struck by the vehicle in front which was pushed into his. West Amwell Township Fire/Rescue extricated Ms. Myskowska, who was pinned in her vehicle for approximately 20 minutes. Volunteers from the Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps, Hopewell Fire Department/EMU, Lambertville-New Hope and Flemington Raritan along with paramedics from the Hunterdon Medical Center responded and assisted in treating and transporting four victims to the Hunterdon Medical Center with moderate injuries,
Ms. Mykowska was transported to Helene Fuld trauma center in Trenton with chest and possible internal injuries.
Township police were assisted by patrols from Delaware Township Police Department, along with New Jersey Department of Corrections officers (who came upon the accident) and the Amwell Valley Fire Company Fire Police Unit to maintain traffic flow alternating traffic with one open lane.
Patrolman Pantuso investigated and issued summonses to Mr. Gardner for careless driving and failure to keep right.
— On June 4 at 7:55 a.m., Diane Williams, 48, of Palmer Township, Pa., was stopped on Route 31 near Linvale- Harbourton Road for speeding by Patrolman Pantuso. A computer warrant check revealed that she had three active traffic warrants out of three municipal courts — Trenton ($97); West Windsor Township ($115); and Lawrence Township ($156) — all for failure to appear on traffic summonses. She was taken into custody, processed and released after posting bail.
Lambertville police reported:
— On June 8, Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Lawrence E. Linderman, 31, of New Hope, Pa., on Cherry Street for failure to keep right. Mr. Linderman was charged with DUI, failure to keep right, and careless driving and released to a friend, pending a court appearance.
— On June 8, Officer Kenneth Housman went to Cherry Street to assist the Lambertville Rescue Squad with a sick individual. Police said that upon arrival, the officer saw Thomas G. Ocasio, 52, of Trenton, punch squad member Pasquale Pittore in the left arm. Police said Mr. Ocasio then charged Mr. Pittore, throwing more punches, which missed Mr. Pittore, who was not injured. Mr. Ocasio was charged with aggravated assault on rescue squad personnel in the performance of their duties and disorderly conduct. A warrant also was found out of Newark Municipal Court for $ 5,000. Mr. Ocasio was lodged in the Hunterdon County jail in default of $25,000 bail total.
— On June 12, Sgt. Brown stopped Jay T. Dean, 32, of Somerset, for failure to keep right on Lambert Lane. Mr. Dean was charged with DUI, failure to keep right, obstructing an intersection, and careless driving. He was released to a friend pending a court appearance.
