WEST WINDSOR-PLAINSBORO Thousands of family members and friends filled the seats of the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton on Saturday to congratulate the graduates of High School North and High School South.
Students clad in green and gold robes poured into the stadium by 10 a.m. for the 36th annual commencement of High School South. By 1 p.m., the crowd had morphed into a sea of blue robes for North’s ceremony. This year was a landmark for North, the younger of the schools, as it celebrated its 10th graduation.
North’s valedictorian was Renuka Reddy.
Ms. Reddy was a member of the Science Olympiad and received a first place award for her work “dynamic planet” at the state level competition this year. Her writing was featured in Mercer County Community College’s “Aspiring 2010,” an annual publication for aspiring young writers and artists.
South’s valedictorian was Satyajeet Pal.
Mr. Pal was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Science Olympiad team, which took third place at the national tournament this year the highest honor ever achieved by South in this competition.
