MARLBORO — No one from the public offered any comments about the contracts for Assistant Superintendent Marc Gaswirth or Business Administrator Cindy Barr-Rague for the 2011-12 school year when they were given the opportunity to discuss those employment agreements during a recent meeting of the Marlboro K-8 School District Board of Education.
At the board’s June 14 meeting the floor was opened to the public during a hearing on the employment contracts for Gaswirth and Barr-Rague.
No one came forward to make any comment about Gaswirth, Barr-Rague or their employment contracts.
Barr-Rague’s salary for 2011-12 was set at $158,168 and Gaswirth’s salary for 2011-12 was set at $169,542.
Those are the same amounts Barr- Rague and Gaswirth were paid during the 2010-11 school year, according to district officials. Each amount includes a $1,200 longevity payment.
Board President Michael Lilonsky said a decision was made to maintain the salaries at the previous year’s amount.
According to the board’s May 10 meeting agenda, Superintendent of Schools David Abbott’s contract increased just under $7,500 for 2011-12.
Abbott’s salary for the 2011-12 school year is listed at $196,370, an increase from the $188,914 he was listed as receiving for the 2010-11 school year. The superintendent’s salary includes a $2,500 payment for longevity. — Rebecca Morton
