BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP: Route 130 crash kills motorcyclist

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — A 22-year-old man is dead after a hit and run accident around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
   Andoni Beltre, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, died at Capital Health Systems Fuld in Trenton while undergoing surgery for his injuries sustained during the accident.
   Mr. Beltre was riding his motorcycle south on Route 130 when he collided with a pickup truck pulling a landscape trailer driven by Concepcion Gomez-Perez, 27, of Pennsauken, police said.
   When police arrived at the scene they found a motorcycle on fire in the middle of the highway and Mr. Beltre lying nearby. The fire was extinguished and medical personnel began assisting Mr. Beltre, police said.
   Witnesses told officers that Mr. Gomez-Perez fled the scene on Burlington Road towards Bordentown City. Bordentown City officers located Mr. Gomez-Perez’s vehicle in the Bradford Pointe apartments and later found him hiding in one of the buildings, police said.
   Mr. Beltre was airlifted from the scene and pronounced dead at 12:07 p.m.
   It was discovered that Mr. Gomez-Perez is an illegal from Mexico and unlicensed. He told police he was scared and ran, police said.
   Mr. Gomez-Perez was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death and being an unlicensed driver involved in a fatal accident in addition to numerous motor vehicle violations. He was sent to Burlington County Jail in default of $55,000 bail.
   The accident is still under investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bordentown Township Police.
