FLORENCE AND ROEBLING NEWS: Week of June 23

   The Northern Burlington County regional High School Band Boosters will hold its sixth Annual Golf Outing on Saturday at the Hanover Golf Club located in Jacobstown. A 1:30 p.m. scramble format with a shotgun start is scheduled with registration beginning at 11 a.m. The tax-deductible donation for golf and dinner is only $95, which includes lunch, prizes, golf and dinner by Colonial Village Caterers. Dinner-only guests are invited to join in for $30 following golf. The proceeds are used to support the award-winning NBC marching unit.    MOMS Club general meeting is the second Thursday of each month. This is open to residents of Roebling, Florence, Bordentown, Fieldsboro, Columbus and Mansfield. Come meet other stay-at-home or part-time working moms in the community. Light refreshments are served and children are always welcome.    The Food Pantry at Florence United Methodist Church, 2nd and Broad streets, is open for food on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We thank all who have made donations. We certainly appreciate your help. This will continue during the summer months. Someone will be available during those hours on Fridays. We also extend a big THANK YOU! To the Riverfront Charter School for the tremendous donation of food which they delivered to our Food Pantry this past week.    The Roebling Garden Club would like to say a big “Thank You” to all who donated for their annual fund drive. This week Linda Kocsis Anderson donated IHO Louis Kocsis Jr, her father; IMO of Julian “Bud” Burr, her uncle. Marge Kocsis donated IHO her son, Louis C. Kocsis III and his sister Linda. Marge Csocsan Kocsis donated IMO family members, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Csocsan, her uncle, John Ciocian, and dear friend Joseph Millerline. Marge and Linda Kocsis Anderson donated IMO family members, Eleanor and James Kennedy and Debbie Burr. Also IHO Robert “Bob” Lane.
