HILLSBOROUGH: Avalon at Hillsborough resident shares his artwork

    Residents and staff at the Avalon at Hillsborough enjoyed a special viewing of resident Domenic DiSteano’s award-winning watercolors.
    Mr. DiSteano has been painting and teaching watercolor for more than 50 years. He supported his family through his talent as an artist in Rockport, Mass., using the harbor as a muse.
    His paintings have received numerous awards and he has served as an elected member to art groups, including the board of the American Water Color Society and president of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. He is the author ýPage=004 Column=001 OK,0035.03þ
of the book “Painting Dynamic Watercolors” and one of his paintings appeared in the White House calendar for the year 2000. Serving as a mentor, he has taught and given of himself generously over the years.
    Mr. DiSteano had been a resident at the Avalon Assisted Living at Hillsborough with his wife Georgeanna since 2009.
