Manville senior citizens enjoyed the nice weather together Tuesday as they gathered for their annual picnic. About 130 members of the group attended the picnic from noon to 4 p.m. at the Polish Falcon Camp in Hillsborough.
”This is the annual Manville senior picnic. It has been going on for years and it is a good time for all the seniors to get together, enjoy good conversation good food,” said Vice President Phil Petrone.
Natalie Walkoviak is the longtime president of the senior citizens and she reinstituted the annual picnic after many years of not having one.
Seniors dined on Elmer’s catering for the food and enjoyed a menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries, corn, chicken, meatballs, sausage and peppers, watermelon and more.
Door prize drawings throughout the afternoon gave the seniors plenty of chances to win gift cards and cash prizes. DJ Chris Gosk played music for the afternoon to entertain the crowd.
