Mr. Thiel, 62, of Monmouth Beach, died June 16, 2011, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a graduate of Jersey City Prep and received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Rutgers University. Mr. Thiel was working for Larson Ford, Lakewood, in the finance department and had previously worked at Buhler Ford in Eatontown. He was predeceased by his father, Frederick, and two brothers, Frederick and William. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Rose Ann; two daughters, Lisa and her husband, Sal Norman, of West Long Branch, and Jenifer Thiel of Monmouth Beach; his mother, Eleanor Thiel of Wall; a brother, Raymond and his wife, Jackie Thiel, of Brick; a sister, Denise Fritz of Lakewood; three grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Maureen and Judy Thiel; and many nieces and nephews. AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach.
