The 2010-11 season for the East Brunswick Soccer Club’s U9 National Green Devils ended in victory. The girls started in September as a Flight Four team, and with the help of their coaches, Jim Harmon, Mike Sliwinski and Garth Smalley, the girls worked their way up to a Flight Two team only halfway through their season. With a 7-2 record, Bianca Sliwinski, Brianna Nakar, Nicole Unangst, Brielle Jordan, Jackie Ascher, Sarah Taffett, Jolie Harmon, Charlie Smalley, Mitra Reveendran, Kaitlyn Marquez, Jessica DiMatteo and Lucy Milligan faced the Monroe Panthers for the championship and won with a nailbiting one-point lead. The girls all improved immensely over the past few months and may be going in separate directions for next season. Best wishes and congratulations to the EBSC Green Devils.
