Girl Scouts host
a blood drive
Wednesday, July 6 — Troop 61184 Girl Scouts working on their Silver Award will host an American Red Cross blood drive 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hillsborough Racquet Club, 345 Amwell Road. One hour of your time, a small painless prick and one pint of blood can help save up to three patients. Bring photo ID and eat a light meal before donating.

on dinner menu
Wednesday, July 13 — St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church will sponsor a Slavic dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $12 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and younger) and includes all-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, salad, desert and beverage.
A surprise entrée will be specially selected and prepared by St. Mary’s new chef John Pagano. Dinners are held on the second Wednesday of every month. Orders to go are available. For information, contact St. Mary’s at 908-725-0615.

Fire company
hosts flea market
Saturday, July 16 — The Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 will hold its next flea market starting at 9 a.m. at 375 Route 206.
The firehouse is across from TD Bank and near Hillsborough Radiology. The market is held behind the firehouse, in the upper parking lot of Hamilton Road. Parking is on the grass behind the firehouse and in the upper parking lot. There is no parking in the Hillsborough Radiology’s parking lot.
Flea market spaces are available for $15 each. Vendors can show up that morning and pay then, with no reservations needed.

Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
Meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. at Emeritus Senior Living, 600 Auten Road. Call 431-1300 if attending.
