American Legion asking for help in assisting troops

We here at the American Legion are serving the Farmingdale and Howell area. We are asking you, our fellow citizens, to help us support our men and women in the armed forces, during this time of war in Iraq andAfghanistan.

“Operation Troops in Need” is just one of our service projects in support of our troops. Our service personnel serving in these areas are in need of our help. As most of you know, they do not have all the things we have here at home and take for granted each day.

The Donald J. Peacock Memorial Post No. 178 FarmingdaleAmerican Legion is in a joint effort with the Blue Star Mothers Chapter No. 1 of New Jersey and Shop-NBag of Farmingdale.

Project “Operation Troops in Need” is an ongoing project that we need to continue until we bring our troops home.

We will be in front of the Shop-N-Bag store on July 1, 2 and 3. Alist of items most needed is available at the store or on our Internet website at www.legionpost178farmingdale.com.
