Hall of honor to be started

JACKSON— TheNewJersey 782ndAir Force Junior ROTC program is creating a Hall of Honor to recognize Jackson Memorial High School alumni who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.

The Hall of Honor will include photographs of individuals who have served in all branches of the armed forces. The photographs will show each person in his or her military uniform.

“We are requesting pictures to place on the wall, along with the date of graduation and ranks of service or anything that is noteworthy,” saidMaj. MikeMacagnone, director of the ROTC program. “We have been thinking about it for awhile and now we have the right students in position to make it happen.”

Macagnone said students will organize the project and will be graded on their efforts to produce the Hall of Honor. He said he believes the project is a fitting tribute to Jackson Memorial alumni who have served in the armed forces or who are serving at the present time.

Additional information about the Hall of Honor is available at the Jackson School District Internet website, www.jacksonsd.org. An application for the Jackson Memorial High School Hall of Honor may be downloaded.
