Eric K. Killackey, 52, of West Windsor, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, police were on patrol on Route 206 near Elm Road and attempted to stop a vehicle traveling south on Route 206, and Mr. Killackey failed to stop for police. Police caught up to Mr. Killackey on Quaker Road near Mercer Road. An inquiry also found he had an active traffic warrant for $2,500 out of Robbinsville. He was also charged with refusal to submit to breath tests, reckless driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was turned over to Robbinsville police.
Plainsboro
Regina C. Crayton, 53, of Plainsboro, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Ms. Crayton on Quail Ridge Drive. She was also charged with reckless driving and making an improper turn. She was later released, pending court.
A resident of Ashford Drive reported that between 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on June 24, someone had stolen a bicycle from a bike rack near the main entrance of High School North. The value of the bike is about $200.
Two residents of Pheasant Hollow Drive were reportedly struck by lightning and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment for moderate injuries. Police said the two pedestrians, a male and female, were standing under a tree in front of building 11 of the Pheasant Hollow apartments.
Elvis Chavez, 51, of Bound Brook, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 4:45 p.m. on June 23, police stopped Mr. Chavez on Scudders Mill Road. He was also charged with failing to obey a traffic signal, reckless driving, driving without a license and driving while intoxicated within a school zone. Due to an immigration violation, Mr. Chavez was lodged in the Middlesex County Jail on an immigrations and customs enforcement detention.
The detective bureau is investigating a theft that occurred at the hospital work site on Plainsboro Road. The Star-Lo Electric company reported someone had taken a Milwaukee/M-18 bandsaw drill from the site between 9 and 9:30 a.m. on June 21. The value of the drill is about $500.
An employee at the hospital work site on Plainsboro Road reported his 2010 Ford Escape was damaged while working between 9:45 and 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. The driver side door was damaged, a value of about $500.
Elias H. Can, 18, of West Windsor, was arrested and charging with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 4:19 p.m. on Monday, police responded to Walker Gordon Drive in the area of the pool for a report of possible drug-related activity. Police found Mr. Can at the site and he admitted to possession. He was later released on his own recognizance, pending court.
Mary E. McGee, 26, of Red Bank, and Karl Shahinian, 27, of Jamesburg, were arrested on active warrants. At 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, police stopped Ms. McGee on Scudders Mill Road. During the stop, police said Ms. McGee falsely identified herself due to having a suspended driver’s license as well as an active warrant for $2,500 out of Holmdel. She was also charged with hindering her own apprehension, driving while suspended, failure to exhibit documents and failure to wear seatbelt. She was turned over to Holmdel police. Her passenger, Mr. Shaninian, was found to have active warrants totaling $3,750 out of Woodbridge, East Brunswick and Newark. He was turned over to Woodbridge police.
Jessica A. Nagy, 22, of East Brunswick, was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia. At 1:44 a.m. on Thursday, police stopped Ms. Nagy on Dey Road. She was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, careless driving, obstruction of vision and unclear plates. She was later released, pending court.
Arben Bajrami, 18, of Skillman, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. At 11:42 p.m. on June 21, police stopped Mr. Bajrami on Route 1 North. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, speeding, failure to exhibit documents, driving while uninsured, maintenance of lamps and obstructed view. He was released, pending court.
Montgomery
Devdutt Kulkarni, 51, of Plainsboro, was arrested on two active warrants. At 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, police stopped Mr. Kulkarni in Belle Mead. During the stop, police found he had two active traffic warrants; one for $200 out of Newark City and one for $190 out of Jamesburg Borough. He was released after posting bail for both warrants. He received a summons for failure to re-inspect his vehicle.
James Lamb Jr., 20, of Skillman, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. At 1:02 a.m. on Tuesday, police stopped Mr. Lamb on Harlingen Road for an inoperable tail light. Subsequent investigation found that Mr. Lamb had struck a stone pillar the end of a driveway off of Bedens Brook Drive. He was also charged with underage possession of alcohol, failure to report an accident, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, maintenance of lamps and possession of an open container in a vehicle. Mr. Lamb’s passenger, identified as Christopher Brady, 20, of Belle Mead, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. Both were released to their parents, pending court.
