Mr. DiFortuna, 60, a resident of Hazlet since 1982, died June 17, 2011, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a vice president at Merrill Lynch in New York City. Mr. DiFortuna is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marie Di- Fortuna; his children, Gregory, Keith, and Richard DiFortuna; his brothers and sisters, Robert DiFortuna and his wife, Janey, of Staten Island, N.Y., Gerard DiFortuna and his wife, Karen, of Forked River, Leslie Decker and her husband, Scott, of Middletown, and Judith Whary and her husband, Brian, of Oakhurst; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Catholic Church, Union Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet.
