SATURDAY, JULY 16, 9:30PM-1:00AM WE ARE THRILLED TO PRESENT JACKIE JONES IN HER DEBUT performance with The New Brunswick Jazz Project at our new venue, GINGER N OLIVE. Jackie, an amazing singer and a regular headliner on the Jersey jazz scene, has electrified audiences throughout the United States, internationally and of course at dozens of venues in her native New Jersey. She has opened for the legendary Lou Rawls and has performed with numerous jazz luminaries. Her influences are anchored in the tradition of song stylists like Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, and Etta Jones. A Rutgers grad, Jackie refined her musical style under the tutelage of noteworthy jazz talents like pianist Kenny Barron, drummer Keith Copeland, vibraphonist Steve Nelson and bassist Larry Ridley.
