Anyone who has dreamed of winning a blue ribbon is encouraged to enter the Home Arts Division of the Middlesex County Fair. Ribbons will also be awarded for second and third place, Best of Show, and honorable mention.
There are 14 divisions: Vegetables, fruit, flowers, baked goods, canning, quilts, needlework, knitting and crocheting, handwork, sewing, crafts, art, woodworking and photography. Each division is divided into adult, children’s (by age) and special participant divisions.
There is no entry fee and all are welcome to enter. Entrants do not have to live in Middlesex County. Every entry will be displayed in the Home Arts building for the entire fair.
For a complete listing of categories, rules and entry form, visit the website www.middlesexcountyfair.org. The information is also available at local libraries. Those who have questions may email [email protected].
Those interested may pre-register or simply bring their items to the fairgrounds at 655 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, on July 31 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The Middlesex County Fair runs Aug. 1-7, with 4-H displays, animals, fireworks, free entertainment, rides, food and vendors.
