Mr. Costigan, 62, of Howell, died July 6, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on June 26. He was raised in Tinton Falls and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Costigan was an owner and integral part of his family’s business, HFI Truck Center in Mountainside. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph, in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Carla; his mother, Kathleen, of Shrewsbury; three sons, Brian and his wife, Amanda, of Manville, Riley and his wife, Fabiana, of Middletown, and Kevin of East Greenville, Pa.; two stepsons, Nathan and Dru of Howell; a sister, Kathleen, and her husband, Frank, of Pottstown, Pa.; four grandchildren; five brothers-in-law, Randal Rainwater and his wife, Patricia, Thomas H. Rainwater and his wife, Lisa, Joe B. Rainwater, Chris Rainwater and his wife, Melinda, and Paul W. Kitchens and his wife, Aimee; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
