MARLBORO — There has been a change at the top of the Republican ticket in the 2011 Marlboro municipal election.
Craig Marshall will run for a four-year term as mayor against incumbent Democrat Jonathan Hornik.
Marshall is replacing Michael Mirne as the Republicans’ candidate for mayor.
Hornik is serving the fourth and final year of his first term as Marlboro’s mayor.
The winner of the November general election will serve a four-year term as Marlboro’s mayor from Jan. 1, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2015.
There will also be two four-year terms on the Marlboro Township Council up for grabs in the November election.
Democrats Randi Marder and Frank LaRocca are seeking re-election to the council. They will square off against Republicans Christopher Dean and Marianne Longobardi.
The change at the top of the GOP ticket has been made on the Republicans’ Internet website.
According to the website, Marshall is currently the president of Christopher Drummond Beauty, an organic-based natural cosmetic company. He is also a certified personal fitness trainer and an older adult fitness specialist.
Marhsall is married to Meryl Marshall and they have three children in their blended family.
