The next meeting of the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at Avalon Assisted Living, 393 Amwell Road in Hillsborough (www.bridgewayseniorcare.com/avalon/index.html). Light refreshments will be served at 6:45PM. The meeting, which will begin promptly at 7:00PM and end at 8:30PM, is open to both current and prospective members.
The main topic of discussion will be the upcoming November election, including campaign planning. The election features four candidates from Hillsborough – Maureen Vella in the top spot for State Senate, Chris Mastondrea for Freeholder, and John Reddan and Aldo Martinez for Township Committee. All four candidates will be on hand for the meeting. There will also be specific discussion on current local issues and events.
Focusing on transparency and accountability in local government, the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance provides all participants with an opportunity to discuss the issues facing Hillsborough, Somerset County and New Jersey as a whole.
