The Hopewell Valley YMCA is forming the Teen Leaders program for next year.
This club is for teens (grades seven-12) who wish to make a difference in their community.
Club activities will be centered around four goals: Leadership Training, Personal Growth, Service to Others and Social Development.
Club participants will have the opportunity to perform service, socialize, travel and grow as leaders.
The club is organized and run by teens with a teen board and officers. Volunteer opportunities may include leading classes, serving on branch boards, mentoring YMCARE participants, preparing meals for the homeless, or organizing clothing/supply drives.
The first activity will be Tuesday, Aug. 30, as they plan and host a sixth-grade “Meet and Greet” for all incoming sixth-graders at Timberlane.
Please join us at an information/planning session on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. at The YAC, located at 62 S Main St., Pennington.
