The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission’s 2011 Music in the Park series will host the following free concerts in the open-grove gazebo on the lake at Thompson Park:
July 28— TheHester Street Troupe, traditional klezmer music, Jewish folk songs;
Aug. 4— Travis Wetzel, “The Mad Fiddler,” and his trio, bluegrass, country, jazz;
Aug. 11— Parrot Beach, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band;
Aug. 18 — Mike Capobianco’s Encore Big Band, 18 musicians and vocalists performing classical swing.
