Lambertville City police reported:
— On July 10, Laura A. McWaters, 42, of Lambertville, reported to Officer Joseph Weber that a rock had been thrown through her living room window.
— On July 10, Richard A Sotherden, 53, of Flemington, was stopped on Route 202 by Officer Michael Gramlich for failure to keep right. Mr. Sotherden was charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to keep right. Mr. Sotherden was released to a friend.
— On July 11, Aristides Quesada-Sibaja, 40, of Ringoes, was stopped on Route 179 for failure to keep right by Sgt. Robert Brown. Mr. Quesada-Sibaja was charged with DWI, reckless driving, failure to keep right and being an unlicensed driver. Police also determined that Mr. Quesada-Sibaja was wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail.
— On July 12, James M. Colaneri, 61, of New Hope, was stopped on Bridge Street by Sgt. Brown for making a right on red, which is prohibited. Mr. Colaneri was found to have an active warrant out of Raritan Borough Municipal Court for $ 350. He posted bail and was released. He also was issued a summons for driving while suspended, and blocking an intersection.
— On July 15, Robert J Weimer III, 18, of Belle Mead, was stopped on Route 179 by Officer Gramlich for making an unsafe lane change. Ms. Weimer was charged with DWI, unsafe lane change, reckless driving, careless driving, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, possession of CDS (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and DWI (CDS related). He was released.
— On July 17, Donna M. Calderbank, 39, of Langhorne, was stopped on Route 29 for speeding by Sgt. Brown. Ms. Calderbank was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, speeding, careless driving, open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, possession of CDS (marijuana) in a motor vehicle, possession of CDS, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. She was released.
— On July 18, Dale W. Haberle, 27, of Flemington, was stopped on Coryell Street by Sgt. Brown for failure to keep right. Mr. Haberle was charged with DWI, careless driving, and two counts of failure to keep right. He was released
West Amwell Township police reported:
— On July 13 at 8:07 a.m., police began an investigation into a burglary and theft from a vehicle at Tillett Plumbing on Jackson Street. Ronald Tillet Jr. reported that someone entered one of his business trucks between July 7 and 19 and took a large amount of unused copper pipes, valves, connectors and elbows, along with plumbing tools. The value was unknown at the time the initial investigation report was taken. Police have interviewed several subjects and are continuing to pursue the investigation. — On July 13 at 6 p.m., Patrolman Edward Skillman took Dontrel Swinson, 24 of Hainesport, into custody on an outstanding traffic warrant issued by the Moorestown Township Municipal Court for failure to appear on an outstanding traffic summons. He was taken into custody while attending West Amwell Municipal Court on an unrelated matter after police were advised by Moorestown Court of the warrant. He was processed and transported to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $500 bail.
— On July 15 at about 12:58 a.m., police responded to a report of a “serious, rollover, motor vehicle accident” on Route 31 South near Poplar Road. Lyndsay Stebor, 30, of Far Hills, was driving north, lost control of her vehicle, crossed both southbound lanes of travel, struck the curbing and struck a tree, after which the vehicle rolled over onto its roof. Ms. Stebor was transported to the Helen Fuld Medical Center in Trenton by the Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps to be checked for pain in the arm and leg. Patrolman Jonathan Sellner charged Ms. Stebor with careless driving and suspected driving while intoxicated.
— On July 15 at about 2:20 a.m., Gordon Thomas, 72, of Bedminster, was taken into custody by Patrolman Jones for driving while intoxicated on Route 202 just north of the Mt. Airy-Dilts Corner exit. Mr. Thomas was stopped after passing a marked patrol unit. Police said he was driving erratically. He was processed and issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, speeding, failure to maintain lane control, failure to exhibit a valid insurance card and reckless driving. He was released into the custody of a relative.
— On July 15, at about 8:48 p.m., police went to a multi-vehicle accident on Route 31 South, just south of Poplar Road. Allision Mclarty, 17, of Flemington, was driving south in the left lane of travel when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Joseph Netroy, 48, of Ringoes. The impact forced the Mclarty vehicle into the northbound lane, resulting in a collision with a vehicle driven by Keith Jones, 44, of Trenton. Police said Mr. Netroy left the scene of the accident and drove his vehicle to his residence on Route 31. Patrolman Todd Pantuso located the vehicle and subsequently took Mr. Netroy into custody for suspected driving while intoxicated. He was released after being issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury and failure to report a motor vehicle accident. The investigation is continuing.
— On July 16 at 4:17 p.m., Patrolman John Casella saw a person walking on Route 31 near Rocktown Hill Road. Police said the officer was aware that a warrant had been issued out of the West Amwell Township Municipal Court for this person. Seth Whitaker, 19, of West Amwell, was taken into custody after a computer check confirmed that a warrant had been issued by the township for $750 for failure to appear on a criminal case. He also was wanted out of the Raritan Township Municipal Court for failure to appear on both a traffic and criminal cases (bail totaling $1,350), police said. He was processed and transported to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of bail.
— On July 16 at 9:40 p.m., police received a report from a citizen about a possible intoxicated driver in a white Ford van with Georgia license plates, traveling north on Route 29. The vehicle had just pulled into the Lambertville Flea Market parking area. Patrolman Skillman responded and determined that the driver, Sambala Gakou, of Riverdale, Georgia, was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs through roadside testing. It was determined via a computer check that Mr. Gakou had an active traffic warrant, issued by Alpha Borough, for failure to appear on a speeding summons issued in September 2000, with $253 ordered bail. He was processed and released after posting bail.
New Hope police reported:
— On July 15 at 8:15 p.m., the owner of a South Main Street establishment reported that, approximately one hour earlier, a small metallic jewelry box, valued at $34, had been stolen from within her store.
— On July 16 at 2:20 a.m., police cited Michael Mohn, 22, of Stockton, for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, and Kyle Davis, 23, of Titusville, Christian Valerio, 22, of Holland, Pennsylvania, and Michael Smeraglio, 21, of Newtown, Pennsylvania, for disorderly conduct, after the subjects were involved in a disturbance on South Main Street.
— On July 16 at 7:52 p.m., an employee of a South Main Street establishment reported that, sometime that afternoon, someone had removed an I-Phone, valued at $400, from a counter in the store.
— On July 17 at 5:25 p.m., police cited Megan Fessak, 54, of Hillsborough, for retail theft, after she attempted to remove an item valued at $16 from a South Main Street establishment by concealing it in her purse.
— On July 17 at 6:22 p.m., police cited Curtis Graubard, 29, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, for disorderly conduct, after he was seen acting in a disorderly manner in a West Bridge Street parking lot.
— On July 18 at 1:18 a.m., police cited Cole Bigley, 30, of Ringoes, for public drunkenness, after he was seen in an intoxicated state in a South Main Street parking lot.
— On July 18 at 11 a.m. a North Main Street resident reported to police that, while her residence was unsecured, a wallet containing approximately $250 was removed from her stairway landing.
