Ms. Fishman, 40, of South Amboy, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 16, 2011, at home. A teacher with the East Brunswick Board of Education since 1995, she taught at Chittick and Bowne-Munro elementary schools and served as an adviser to the Early Act Club. She was predeceased by a sister, Farah Knight. Surviving are her parents, Jerome and Ina Fox Fishman; three brothers, Kacy Knight of New York, Gerry Knight, and his wife, Stephanie, of California and Scott Fishman, and his wife, Helen, of Bridgeton; and three sisters, Randi Cairns, and her husband, Ian, of East Brunswick, Zandi Lawrence, and her husband, Doug, of California; and Mia Erickson, and her husband, Erik, of Georgia. A memorial visitation was held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
