Registration for the Sayrewoods South Rebels football will be held 7-9 p.m. July 29 and 10 a.m. to noon July 30 at the field house on Route 516. Teams are divided by age/grade. Flag football is available for pre-K and kindergarten players; tackle from first through eighth grades. Parents have the option of having their firstgraders play flag. The Sayreville Leprechauns Football and Cheerleading Association will continue registration for the 2011 football and cheer season on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Leprechaun trailer inside the fenced area near the borough garage and Leprechaun Field, Sayreville. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 5-15 (by July 31). Fees are $85 for one child and $135 for two or more children, plus an additional $200 work bond. A copy of the child’s birth certificate and a recent photo (no sports or cheer) are also required. The cost of a football jersey, which will be sized at registration, is additional. Old Bridge Fall Travel Baseball seeks U12 and U13/14 teams to join its fall league. Games will be played Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 3 and 6 p.m. This is a show-up-and-play league. Fees will include a box of baseballs, umpires and fields. Individual teams will supply their own equipment and uniforms. The Sayreville Leprechauns Football and Cheerleading Association will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a picnic and fundraiser 1-6 p.m. Aug. 13 at Burkes Park, Sayreville. The fee of $10 for kids (ages 5- 17) and $20 for adults includes an anniversary mug, food, beverages and activities that include a bounce house, a rock climbing wall and a dunk tank. All divisions will have a punt/pass and kicking contest, with prizes awarded to all winners. Beer and wine will be available at $2 a mug. Outside beverages will not be permitted.
