East Windsor woman escapes kidnapping

EAST WINDSOR – An woman escaped from an ex-boyfriend who had kidnapped her after repetitively punching her and threatening her with a weapon.
 The unnamed woman, 36, of East Windsor, was kidnapped by Herlindo Castillo-Siani, 39, just before noon as she walked from the Orchard residential community behind the Target on July 24.
  Mr. Castillo-Siani, who was using the false name of Ervin Rolando Martinez, assaulted her while they were still at the parking lot. East Windsor police said he punched the woman repeatedly.
 The wounds caused visible facial injuries, according to police.
  Mr. Castillo-Saiani then threatened her with a blade, stole her purse and forced her into his vehicle.
  Mr. Castillo-Siani drove the victim against her will to his residence on Oak Lane, in Hightstown.
  Luckily, she was able to escape early Monday morning after Mr. Castillo-Siani fell asleep.
  He was arrested at his residence at approximately 1 p.m. July 25.
  In addition to kidnapping, Mr. Castillo-Siani was charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
  Bail was set at $400,000. Police also learned that he had an ICE detainer. Mr. Castillo-Siani was transported to the Mercer County Detention Center in default of bail and on the ICE detainer, police said.
