The Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women is very pleased to invite the public to a Tea with Abigail Adams on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 in the evening. The event will be held at the Somerville Elks Lodge located at 75 Union Avenue (Route 28) Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Kim Hanley of the American Historical Theatre will be featured as Abigail Adams. Tickets are $25.00 and can be obtained from SCFDW c/o Carol Brady, 9 Lee Way, Somerville, NJ 08876.
The event supports women candidates running in Somerset County. They include Carolyn Freeman in Bedminster, Bonnie Diehl in Bernards, Kate Lincoln in Bernardsville, Mary Pranzatelli in Bridgewater, Rozalyn Sherman and Kimberly Francois in Franklin, Margaret Weinberger in Somerville, Caryl “Chris” Shoffner and August Carlton in South Bound Brook. Also running are Maureen Vella for State Senate in the 16th District, Marie Corfield for Assembly in the 16th District, Linda Stender for Assembly in the 22nd District, and Karen Carroll for Assembly in the 23rd District.
