Trilogy Lacrosse will host a free lacrosse clinic on Sept. 18 at Camp Sacajawea, 127 Yellowbrook Road, Howell. There will be a clinic for sixth- through eighth-graders from 1 to 3 p.m. and for ninth- through 11th-graders from 3 to 5 p.m. Coaches are invited to attend as well. The national directors of Trilogy Lacrosse, including MLLAll-Stars and Team USA members Ryan Boyle, Mitch Belisle and Ned Crotty, will be running the clinics. The Jackson Travel Basketball organization will hold tryouts for boys and girls teams. JTB is made up of teams represented by Jackson boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 13. It is for youth basketball players who want to participate in a more advanced, competitive environment. JTB teams participate in the Mid-Monmouth League, which includes 32 Monmouth-Ocean towns. Tryouts for the boys and girls U9, U10, U11, U12 and U13 teams will be held at the Holman School during the weeks of Sept. 19 and Sept. 26.
