Mrs. Colombo, 72, of Marlboro, died Sept. 4, 2011, at home. Prior to retiring, she worked as a logistics specialist for the U.S. Army at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown. Mrs. Colombo was predeceased by her husband, Dominick; and a sister, Demetra D. Bruno. Surviving are two sons, John and his partner, Michael Collins, of New York City, and Jerry, and his wife, Tonja, of Owasso, Okla.; two daughters, Karen Ollivett, and her husband, Billy, of Harrisburg, N.C., and Christina Paladino and her husband, Rich, of Marlboro; a brother, Jimmy Karayianis, of Middletown, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Marlboro, followed by entombment in the parish mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Arrangements were by the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
