About a month remains until the registration deadline for the Nov. 8 general election.
In addition to choosing municipal and county officials, voters will elect members of the NJ Legislature, both Senate and Assembly.
The Hopewell Valley League of Women Voters, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012, reminds local residents that Oct. 18 is the last day to register to vote or change your address
.To register to vote in the election you must be a US citizen, at least 18 by Nov. 8, and reside at your present address for at least 30 days.

Voter registration forms, change of name and address forms, and Vote by Mail ballot applications are available from libraries as well as local municipal offices: Hopewell Township, 201 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville (737-0605); Hopewell Borough, 4 Columbia Ave., Hopewell ( 466- 2636); Pennington Borough, 30 N. Main St. (737-.0276).
By logging on to www.njelections.org, you can print a voter registration form, complete the required information, then mail it to the Mercer County Commissioner of Registration. Faxed or e-mailed copies are not acceptable, since an original signature is required.
Voter registration applications for Mercer County residents are available on line in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean.
The deadline for a mailed application for a Vote by Mail ballot is Nov. 1. A voter also can apply in person to the Mercer County Clerk until 3 p.m. Nov. 7.
Polls will be open Nov. 8 from 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
