Theodore Duncan

Mr. Duncan, 85, of Matawan, died Sept. 6, 2011, at home. He resided in Keyport for 59 years prior to moving to Matawan. Mr. Duncan worked delivering oil for Belleza Oil, Keansburg, and then Royal Oil Company, Cliffwood. After his retirement, he worked as a custodian for 18 years with Matawan-Aberdeen School District. Mr. Duncan was a member of the American Legion, Trenton; the Calvary Methodist Church, Keyport; and a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Jensen Duncan; his children, Theodore “Ted” Duncan and his wife, Janice, of Georgia, Elise Foley and her husband, Robert, of Old Bridge, Keneth Duncan and his wife, Edwina, of Arkansas, Nancy Neilsen and her husband, Dave, of Georgia and Roberta Tuffill and her husband, Matthew of Massachusetts; a sister, Vivian Hussey of Eatontown; and six grandsons. Aservice was held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with interment at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
